Kindergarten
The Kindergarten welcomes children from 3 – 5 years old. The environment has been designed to promote the balanced growth of the whole child. Children continue to learn holistically within the EYFS framework and develop across all areas of learning, building self-esteem, confidence and resilience that encourage a love for learning.
When children join the Kindergarten, close attention is paid to their social and emotional needs. Teachers work closely with families to ensure that these needs are recognized and catered for in a way that will foster emotional wellbeing.
The play and learning opportunities on offer, as well as the design-oriented labs, support children’s innate curiosity, developing their ability to research, share ideas and information, discuss and collaborate to problem solve. The multicultural environment and full immersion in the English language foster an open-minded approach to learning. The spaces in kindergarten are designed to suit the ever-changing needs of the children. They are welcoming and attractive, an invitation to learn, and through the careful use of resources they encourage respect for places and people whilst nurturing play-based learning.
Teachers nurture close, respectful and empathetic relationships with the children. With a supportive emotional environment, teachers can accompany children on their learning journey to help them reach their full potential.
The children are divided into groups according to age:
-
Preschool (3-4 years)
-
Reception (4-5 years)
