ICS International School, Primary School (an officially recognised school), is an educational project with a curriculum aimed at international students that focuses on developing creative thinking.
ICS International School offers an international learning journey, which is defined by a well structured and rich curriculum that simultaneously integrates the following programmes:
- The Cambridge Primary Programme, covering English and math
- The IPC - International Primary Curriculum, covering the topic-based subjects (science, social studies, geography, history, art, and international mindedness)
- National recommendations for the curriculum as established by MIUR, for the Italian language and culture programme. In the 2016/17 academic year, ICS International School was granted officially recognised school status.
The learning journey is enhanced by an innovative approach, which uses the process of guided creativity typical of the design process to support the development of problem-solving and the expression of each child's personal potential.
Our teachers create lessons that are filled with opportunities. They look after academic results whilst supporting the children in acquiring an awareness of their own possibilities. They encourage the development of critical and analytical thinking, freedom of thought and expression, and they place importance on cultural differences and curiosity as a driving force in the learning process.
The school has been designed as a pleasant, inviting and stimulating environment. Our classrooms are flexible spaces that support learning and experimenting with opportunities that vary and differ every day.
