Cookie Policy

We use cookies to make our website easier and more intuitive to navigate. The data collected by means of the cookies are used to make your future browsing experience easier and more efficient.

Information about the controller and the contact details for the purpose of exercising your rights as a data subject as of articles 15 et seq. of Regulation (UE) 2016/679, are contained in the Privacy Policy.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files sent by the website to the data subject's terminal (generally to the browser) where they are stored and then re-sent to the website the next time the same user returns to the website.  A cookie cannot store any other data on the user’s hard disk, transmit computer viruses or obtain email addresses. Each cookie is associated with a single user’s web browser. Some of the cookies’ functions can be carried out by other technologies. In this document the term “cookie” refers to cookies, strictly speaking, and to all similar technologies.

TYPES OF COOKIES

Cookies can be first or third party: “first party” means cookies that indicate the website as the domain while “third party” means cookies that refer to external domains.
Third party cookies are perforce installed by an external subject, called “third party”, and are not managed by the website. These subjects can also install first party cookies, saving their cookies on the website domain.
Another type of cookie are the so-called "Flash Cookies" (Local Shared Objects), used by Adobe Flash Player to provide content, including video clips or animations, so as to remember settings and preferences. Flash cookies are stored on the device but are managed by means of a different interface to the one provided by the browser used.

NATURE OF THE COOKIES

As regards the nature of the cookies, there are different types:

TECHNICAL COOKIES

Technical cookies are those used solely for the purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent necessary for the provider of an information society service expressly requested by the subscriber or by the user” (see article 122, sub-paragraph 1 of the Code).
These are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the controller or the website administrator. They can be divided into:

  • navigation or session cookies: these guarantee normal browsing and use of the website (for example, allowing purchases to be made or to log into reserved areas) and are necessary for the website to function properly;
  • analytical cookies: these are similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website administrator to collect information, in aggregate form, about the number of users and how they visit the website in order  to improve the websites’s performance;
  • functionality cookies: these allow the user to browse the site based on selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided. The user’s prior consent is not required for these cookies (for more information see the paragraph on Managing Cookies below).

PROFILING COOKIES

The purpose of profiling cookies is to create user profiles and are used to send publicity based on the preferences expressed by users when browsing the web. These technologies do not gather the users’ names, their email addresses, telephone numbers or physical addresses.
The data subject’s consent is necessary in order to use profiling cookies. According to the code (for more information see the paragraph on Managing Cookies below), users can authorise or refuse installation of the cookies using the options provided in the paragraph “Managing Cookies”.
In the case of third party cookies, the website has no direct control over the individual cookies and cannot control them (it cannot install them directly or delete them). However, you can manage these cookies from the browser’s settings (follow the instructions given below), or from the websites indicated in the paragraph “Managing Cookies”.
Users are therefore invited to check the third party’s site indicated in the table below.

DURATION OF THE COOKIES

The duration of the cookies is controlled by an expiry date (or by a specific action such as the closure of the browser) set at the time of their installation.
Cookies can be:

  • temporary or session cookies: these are used to store temporary information, allowing connection of the actions performed during a specific session and are removed from the computer when the browser is closed;
  • permanent (persistent cookies): these are used to store information, for example, usernames and passwords so that users are not forced to type these in every time they visit a specific site. These cookies remain stored in the computer even after the browser is closed.

MANAGING COOKIES

In accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Code (Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 dated 30 June 2003, as amended, hereinafter the "Code") and, specifically, articles 13, sub-paragraph 3 and 122, sub-paragraph 1 and, with reference to the measure regarding the Identification of simplified procedures for the privacy policy and for obtaining consent for the use of cookies - 8 May 2014 (Published in the Official Journal no. 126 of 3 June 2014), you can change your consent to the use of cookies at any time following this link.

The Controller will track a User’s consent by means of a special technical cookie, which the Italian Data Protection Authority considers to be a “not particularly invasive” tool. The User can refuse to give consent and/or can modify their options on the use of cookies by this Website at any time by accessing this Privacy Policy via the link that can be found on every page of the Website.
The User can exercise the rights as set forth in article  7 of the Code and in the UE 2016/679 Regulation at any time and, specifically and inter alia, obtain a copy of the data processed, their updating, their origin, the purpose and method of processing, their rectification or completion, their erasure, their anonymisation or blocking of any processing in breach of law and can object to the processing on legitimate grounds.

To exercise their rights, write to the Controller at info@icsmilan.com

If you have already given your consent but you wish to change the cookie authorisations, you will have to cancel all the cookies from the browser, as indicated below, because otherwise the ones already installed will not be removed. Specifically, note that it is not possible to control third party cookies so if consent has already been given, you will either have to delete the cookies from the browser (specific section) or request the opt-out directly from the third parties or on the website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/le-tue-scelte.
