This one-hour weekly course is designed for Y7, 8 and 9 students who wish to approach French in a playful and engaging way. Each lesson combines educational games, group activities and simple conversations to make learning the language an enjoyable and dynamic experience. You will develop your basic French skills, such as vocabulary and essential phrases, while improving your communication skills. Course objectives:
Introduction to French: Familiarise yourself with the basics of the French language, including greetings, introductions and everyday phrases.
Vocabulary Expansion: Learn basic words and phrases through interactive games and activities.
Conversation Skill Development: Practise speaking in French in simple and realistic contexts, improving pronunciation and fluency.
Growth of Linguistic Confidence: Encourage students to speak and understand French in a safe and supportive environment.
Cultural Awareness: Introduce elements of French culture, such as festivals, traditions and food, to enrich the learning experience.
French Language & Conversations- Intermediate
This weekly one-hour course is designed for secondary school students who already have a foundation in French and aspire to reach a B1/B2 level.
Through stimulating conversations, advanced grammar exercises, and selected readings, students will refine their language skills and expand their vocabulary. Each lesson is designed to improve fluency and accuracy in both oral and written communication, with a focus on the comprehension and production of various types of texts. Additionally, we will explore cultural aspects of the Francophone world, enriching the learning experience with discussions on current topics and local traditions. Course objectives:
Vocabulary consolidation: reinforcing the basics and previous knowledge of the French language
Language deepening: reach an intermediate language level that will facilitate future studies
Development of Conversation skills: practise conversation in French in a variety of realistic contexts, improving pronunciation and fluency.
Cultural Knowledge: broaden cultural horizon and confidence in using French in future travel, study or work scenarios.

For many years I lived and taught French, Latin and Italian in London, where I attended PGCE and gained various and precious work experience.
Volunteering has always accompanied various phases of my life, some of these experiences have been very significant in my journey to become a teacher and to open myself to new cultures.
I love music, art and travelling, and languages encompass and intersect all these passions. I firmly believe in the power and role that languages play in building the future of each of us.
